“Organically Grown” means that no chemical or synthetic fertilizers or pesticides are used in production.  RVF uses composting to fertilize and condition our soil, which ensures optimum soil health.  Healthy soil equals strong, healthy plants – naturally resistent to pests.   

Organically grown farm products are arguably healthier, safer and kinder to the environment.  According to the NIH, organically grown foods provide “significantly greater levels of Vitamin C, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus,” as well as higher levels of antioxidants and micronutrients.   In addition to being more nutrient dense, organically grown products are not exposed to pesticides and other potential chemical carcinogens, making these products safer to consume.

Yes.  RVF farm fresh egss are also organically produced.  Our free-range flock has continuous daytime access to high-quality outdoor range.  Our hens are antibiotic and horomone free, fed organic (non-GMO) diet.  

RSV’s Organic Eggs are healthier than conventional eggs.  According to a Penn State University study, organic eggs have higher levels of micronutrients, 40% more Vitamin A, and twice as much Vitimin E.  Organic eggs also provide three times more omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to prevent chronic disease, lower cholesterol, improve heart health and prevent chronic disease by reducing inflammation.
